- Research your options. There are a lot of routes when it comes to having a child as a single parent — sometimes too many and it can feel overwhelming.
- Take stock of your finances. You'll want to weigh the costs of the options available to you, whichever route you take. When Kowalski's OB-GYN first told her she'd likely need an egg donor to get pregnant, she wasn't ready to accept it.
