The Legend of the East outfit is an unlockable outfit in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The outfit consists of a white big valley hat, a unique black french dress shirt, a red velvet shotgun coat, a dark red paisley vest with an ornament attached to it, a dark grey and red scarf, black & brown cavalry gloves, white striped town pants, black half chaps, black deluxe relentless boots, and brown & yellow vaquero deluxe spurs. It also comes with its own unique gun belt and two holsters.
The outfit is the only one in the game to provide protection in every temperature, so it can be worn everywhere without issues. The protection against all temperatures will only work if the scarf is attached to the outfit meaning you are unable to change anything on the outfit and still gain protection to all temperatures,
The outfit is unlocked by completing every ambient challenge in Red Dead Redemption II. It automatically appears in your wardrobe, and can be equipped at a tailor or in your camp or home.
In earlier versions of the game, glitches could be used to take Arthur Morgan to New Austin which allowed players to obtain the outfit before the Epilogue, but most of these methods have since been patched out. One method that hasn't been patched out is driving to New Austin in a covered buggy or canvas covered wagon, the canvas protects you from the invisible sniper as long as it covers Arthur's head. Stepping out of the wagon without exposing yourself to the sniper takes practice, but can be done consistently.
Another glitch you can try is by completing a challenge via one of the replays.
You can either;
1.Complete all the challenges except Herbalist 9 and Gambler 10.
2.Replay "Who is Not Without Sin" and win the poker game 3 times.
Once unlocked, the player is also given several bonus perks. They are not tied to the outfit, and will be applied even if clothing is changed.
•Weapon condition +10%
•Money looted +10%
•Melee damage taken -10%
•Damage on horseback taken -10%
•Eagle Eye duration +5 seconds
•The unique scarf cannot be equipped at will and will disappear if any clothing (besides the hat) is changed.
•While it cannot be unlocked as Arthur Morgan without downgrading the game and/or using glitches, the cheat "Vanity. All is vanity" can be used to unlock the outfit early. However, the game cannot be saved when any cheat is active. The only way to save it is by doing the "Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor" mission glitch, which will allow you to save while having cheats activated.
