Carlo Vanzina (13 March 1951 – 8 July 2018) was an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter. Vanzina was born in Rome, the son of Maria Teresa Nati and film director Stefano Vanzina and brother of Enrico Vanzina.

Carlo Vanzina (1951-2018) was an Italian filmmaker who worked on 78 movies and 15 TV shows. He was the son of Steno and the brother of Enrico Vanzina, and married to Lisa Melidoni.

ROME – Carlo Vanzina, a successful director who throughout his career gave a witty glimpse into the workings of Italian society, has died at his home in Rome. Carlo Vanzina died on Sunday at 67 and had been ill for some time; his wife Lisa and brother Enrico gave the news on Monday.
