Sep 26, 2010 · Singer Wayne Wonder was one of the acts who helped make Penthouse Records a powerhouse in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During that period, he was one of Buju Banton's closest friends. The Portland-born Wonder (real name Vonwayne Charles) had a few minor hits in the late 1980s, but it was not until he moved to Penthouse that his career took off.
