Jimmy Keyrouz knows about overcoming challenges. The Lebanese director, 32, was in the middle of producing his first feature film, Broken Keys, when thousands of anti-government protesters took to the streets of Beirut, halting production and throwing Keyrouz and his team into a rescheduling nightmare.
Jimmy Keyrouz is an award-winning film director/writer. His latest film Broken Keys made the Cannes Film Festival 2020 Official Selection, won the 2022 Murex d'Or, and was Lebanon's official candidate for the 2021 Oscars.

Keyrouz attended high school at Collège Notre-Dame de Jamhour. He then earned his Bachelor's Degree in filmmaking in 2009 at the Saint Joseph University in Beirut before pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in film at Columbia University in the City of New York, where he began his career as a film writer and director.
Keyrouz began his career in 2009 when he portrayed the role of Serge in Rue Huvelin. In 2010, Keyrouz directed music videos for up and coming artists.
