Alef Aeronautics is a US company founded on April 6, 2015, by Jim Dukhovny, Constantine Kisly, Pavel Markin and Oleg Petrov. The company initially relied on financing by its founders. Over coffee with Constantine Kisly, Pavel Markin, and Oleg Petrov, Dukhovny sketched a rough model of their dream car on a napkin: A vehicle capable of functioning like a traditional car, featuring vertical take-off, and being both affordable and accessible to the general public.
In 2015, Dukhovny, together with Constantine Kisly, Pavel Markin, and Oleg Petrov, founded Alef Aeronautics to develop the world's first flying car. The prototype of this car successfully debuted in 2022 and through pre-sales became the world's best-selling aircraft in 2023.
