David Alan Sproxton CBE (born 6 January 1954) is a British entrepreneur, best known as one of the co-founders, with Peter Lord, of the Aardman Animations studio. Sproxton was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) on 17 June 2006.

David Sproxton is the co-founder of Aardman with Peter Lord and a photographer who has exhibited his work at the British Animation Awards. He has produced and executive produced many Aardman films, such as Early Man and Shaun the Sheep, and is a trustee of the Aardman Employee Owned Trust.
