Ringel Film was founded in 2011 by producer Gian-Piero Ringel and his business partner Wim Wenders. The company was initially registered as Neue Road Movies Zweite GmbH and renamed in 2016 to Ringel Film. Gian-Piero Ringel is since then the sole owner and managing director.
