The idea for Chateau Peby Faugeres grew out of the desire to make the best wine possible and to honor Pierre Bernard Guisez who had recently passed away. To do this, they made a parcel selection of their best, old vine Merlot .
Château Péby Faugères is a stand-alone vineyard in Saint-Émilion, located inside the larger Château Faugères property. The property – treated as distinct from Faugères – has been classified as a Grand Cru Classé since 2012, and is notable for its rich, opulent red wine made from Merlot.

Péby Faugères, a red wine jewel in the Vignobles Silvio Denz portfolio, was born in 1998, named as a tribute to the property’s former owner Pierre-Bernard Guisez (whose nickname was Péby).
Under the direction of Pierre-Bernard Guisez and his wife Corinne Guisez, Chateau Faugeres began improving their work in the vineyards and in the cellars. This soon began to pay off, as the winery started gaining notoriety with critics and consumers.
This 2022 vintage celebrates the 25th vintage of Château Péby Faugères. Created in 1998 under the impetus of Corinne Guisez, widow of Pierre-Bernard "Peby" Guisez, this estate bears the imprint of Pierre-Bernard Guisez, who, together with Michel Rolland, identified the full potential of this terroir.
