Robert W. Field is a spectroscopist who studies the structural and dynamical properties of small, gas phase molecules using tunable lasers and chirped-pulse techniques. He is the author of several books and articles on spectroscopy and molecular dynamics, and a recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Lectures.
