Kit Parker Films, founded in 1971 as a 16mm non-theatrical film library, later grew into a 35mm theatrical distributor of major studio classics, silent films, and specialty films. The Kit Parker Collection arrived at the Academy Film Archive starting in 2002 and has been an ongoing acquisition ever since.

The Kit Parker collection spans the years 1925-2007 (bulk 1940s-1950s) and encompasses 24.6 linear feet. The collection consists of production, television, subject, oversize files, and scrapbooks. The materials represent mostly “B-movie” feature films, short subjects, and serial titles from major studios and independent producers.
Kit Parker is an American film distributor. He formed Kit Parker Films in 1971 for the distribution of 1940s and 1950s motion pictures to theaters and non-theatrical users.
