Debra Oswald (born 1959) is an Australian writer for film, television, stage, radio and children's fiction. In 2008 her Stories in the Dark won Best Play in the NSW Premier's Literary Awards.
Debra Oswald is a Sydney-based playwright and author. She began writing as a teenager and sold her first radioplay at 17. Since then, she’s made her living as a writer for film, television, stage, and radio, as well as publishing a number of novels for children.
In his new memoir, Flesh Wounds, Glover writes about growing up with parents who weren’t interested in him, and how his partner Debra Oswald changed the way he thought of family. An extract from the book is published below.
