Their first two albums, Railroad Jerk (1990) and Raise the Plow (1993), did well, but Railroad Jerk reached its biggest success with One Track Mind (1995). The band made two music videos for the record: "Rollerkoaster" and "Bang the Drum", both directed by Jim Spring and Jens Jurgensen.

Hall and bassist Tony Lee are the only survivors of the debut’s lineup on Raise the Plow; drummer Steven Cerio and various guests, including Uncle Wiggly guitarist William Berger, join them for a more sophisticated, refined exploration of broader terrain and influences.
Feb 10, 2007 · I Love the jerky rhythms that RR Jerk have been known for with Marcellus Hall's voice that has a speak/sing quality to it in a high sometimes shouting manner. Together with the rhythm guitar, bass & drums keeping up with all this semi chaos turns into a sort of Americana sound.
