Silvion Oscar Lewenstein (18 January 1917 – 23 February 1997) was a British theatre and film producer, who helped create some of the leading British theatre and film productions of the 1950s and 1960s.

Silvion Oscar Lewenstein was born in Hackney, London on 18 January 1917 to Arthur Lewenstein and Mary Convisser. His father was Jewish and emigrated to Britain from Russia in 1907 to escape Russian antisemitism. During Lewenstein’s childhood his family lived in Brighton and the Isle of Wight.
This archive collection consists of material relating to Oscar Lewenstein's career as a producer before he became artistic director for the English Stage Company in 1972. The collection spans the years 1952 to 1974 when Lewenstein worked largely as an independent producer.
