Samuel Chapman Armstrong (January 30, 1839 – May 11, 1893) was an American soldier and general during the American Civil War who later became an educator, particularly of non-whites.
Mr. Armstrong is a founding member of Singabones, a trombone ensemble dedicated to nurturing talent of all ages. The mission of this group is to provide a regular gathering where community leaders strive to instill camaraderie and musical excellence.
