Herbert Windt (15 September 1894, Senftenberg, Brandenburg – 2 November 1965, Deisenhofen, now a part of Oberhaching, Bavaria) was a German composer who became one of the most significant film score composers of the Third Reich.
Herbert Windt was born on 15 September 1894 in Senftenberg, Germany. He was a composer, known for Fährmann Maria (1936), G.P.U. (1942) and Lowlands (1954). He was married to Friedel Bosch and Else. He died on 23 November 1965 in Munich, Bavaria, West Germany.
