A. K. Lohithadas was one of Malayalam cinema`s finest and most loved screenwriters. He started out as a story writer and successful playwright and made his film debut with Thaniyavarthanam (1987). The film garnered him wide recognition and was followed by huge successes like Kireedam (1989), Amaram (1991) and Veendum Chila Veettukaryangal (1999).
