With Hawk Ostby, Fergus has also recently completed two adaptations for director Jon Favreau. The first, John Carter of Mars, is based on the seminal science fiction novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It will be produced by Paramount Pictures. The second is Iron Man, for Marvel Studios, which begins production in February 2007.
