Claudia Jubeh is a German-Palestinian film scholar, whose master thesis in film studies analyzed national and cultural identity in Palestinian cinema. In Berlin she worked for different companies as well as German-Arab NGOs in the areas of film production, distribution, and project coordination.

Apr 15, 2024 · It was founded in 2009 by Fadi Abdelnour, Issam Haddad and Claudia Jubeh, two Palestinians and a Lebanese man based in Berlin. The idea behind the festival came from there being very few Arab films showing in Germany.

The film was one of two Egyptian entries in the forum – along with Tahra's Life by Mohanad Diab – where 17 films from nine Arab countries competed.
