Frankie Sardo was a singer who joined Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper and Dion and the Belmonts on a 24-day tour of the mid-western US in 1959. The tour ended in tragedy when their plane crashed in Iowa, killing all three musicians on board.
