Parachute is an American pop rock band from Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. Formed in 2006, they released their major-label debut album, Losing Sleep , in 2009, followed by their second album, The Way It Was , in 2011 and their third album, Overnight , in 2013.
He later had a successful recording career as Hurricane Smith, achieving a transatlantic hit single with "Oh Babe, What Would You Say" in 1972. Early life [ edit ] Smith was born in Edmonton , Middlesex , and served as an RAF glider pilot during World War II .
McFarland joined the band as a lead guitarist and Sparky's Flaw released two independent EPs. They later changed their band name to Parachute. Parachute played many college shows and were signed to Mercury Records during Anderson's third year of college in 2007.
