Shane Salerno (born November 27, 1972) is an American screenwriter, producer, director, and Chief Creative Officer of The Story Factory. His writing credits include the films Avatar: The Way of Water, Armageddon, Savages, Shaft, and the TV series Hawaii Five-0.
Shane Salerno is a prolific and versatile screenwriter who has worked with directors like James Cameron, Steven Spielberg and Oliver Stone. He is also the co-author of the bestselling book Salinger and the director of the documentary film Salinger about J.D. Salinger.
