Horsebreaker Star is the third solo album by Grant McLennan, a member of The Go-Betweens. McLennan recorded the album in Athens, Georgia with American musicians. It was also the only ever double album associated with the Go-Betweens.

Jul 25, 1995 · Horsebreaker Star is certainly the most impressive of McLennan's three solo albums. The first one, Watershed, puts more flex into its slick than it gets credit for. But since it sold not at all here, Atlantic's failure to release 1993's more studio-static Fireboy is defensible.

Add the stunning voice of Syd Straw on harmony vocals and the absolute perfect production work of John Keene at his studio in Georgia and you have a classic for the ages. Grant goes all out for Horsebreaker Star playing acoustic and electric guitars, and vibes and singing his heart out.
