Tania Jane Lacy is an Australian comedian. Early life and education[edit] Originally from Toowoomba, Queensland, Lacy spent many of her early years travelling with her family. Her father, then an officer in the army, was posted to Singapore (where Lacy was actually born) twice and Lacy spent a few years at Army schools. [citation needed]

- I’ve always liked doing my own thing. I’m not really. . . Oh pardon me, I mean, I’m definitely not one of the in-crowd in the comedy world. I didn’t come up through the ranks doing stand-up or worked with a troupe at uni or anything like that.
- I love making people laugh. I really do. I feel like I’m a shaman, healing people through the magic medicine that is laughter. But, you know, it goes both ways this symbiotic relationship one shares with the audience, because their laughter heals me.
- I have some really nice outfits I wear on stage. I’ve never really been a ‘jeans and t-shirt’ type of girl. I don’t wear jeans because I don’t work in a coal mine.
