Ian Don Marter (28 October 1944 – 28 October 1986) was an English actor and writer, known for his role as Harry Sullivan in the BBC science-fiction television series Doctor Who from December 1974 to September 1975, with a non-regular, one-serial return in November and December 1975.
Ian Marter. Actor: Doctor Faustus. Ian Marter left university in 1969 and joined the Bristol Old Vic as an acting stage manager. In 1970, producer Barry Letts considered him for the role of Captain Mike Yates in Terror of the Autons: Episode One (1971), but it ultimately went to Richard Franklin.

Ian Don Marter (28 October 1944-28 October 1986[1]) played companion Harry Sullivan in Doctor Who from Robot to Terror of the Zygons and again in The Android Invasion. He also played the minor role of Lieutenant John Andrews in the Doctor Who story Carnival of Monsters.
