In 2015, Alex began volunteering as a crisis counselor at the Trevor Project Lifeline, a national 24/7 crisis and suicide prevention hot line for LGBTQ youth. Inspired the work, Alex began investigating the field of mental health and in 2019 decided to pursue a career in medicine.
