Jul 21, 2021 · Actor, playwright and director, Michael Scholar Jr. was born and raised in Regina Saskatchewan. He studied in the University of Regina’s Theatre Department before graduating with a BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta, and then moved to Vancouver in 2000.
It was there that the multi-ethnic Michael Scholar Jr., once nationally competitive as a junior swimmer, decided to climb out of the pool one frosty morning and into the counterculture. As a teenager, the theater director grew his hair down his back and started punk-rock bands.
