James Karen (born Jacob Karnofsky; November 28, 1923 – October 23, 2018) was an American character actor of Broadway, film and television.
James Karen was a veteran actor who appeared in over 80 movies and 100 TV shows, including The Return of the Living Dead, Poltergeist, and Mulholland Drive. He also did commercials for Pathmark supermarket and won a Saturn Award for Lifetime Achievement.
