Leonardo Donald Cecchi (born August 26, 1998) is an Italian actor, singer and dancer best known for his titular role of Alex Leoni in Alex & Co.
Leonardo was born to an Italian father and an American mother in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 26, 1998, but he grew up in Turin, Italy.
Since he was young, acting has always been his passion, so he attended the liceo d'arte e spettacolo (performing arts secondary school) Germana Erba in Turin from 2012 to 2017.
After participating in some theater plays such as Gli acarnesi and La figlia del reggimento in 2014, he made an audition for a casting held at his school and was chosen for playing the titular role of Alex Leoni in Alex & Co., his first job, that lasted until 2017 and included the movie Come diventare grandi nonostante i genitori (How to Become Great Despite Your Parents).
In 2016, he got the role of Saúl in Tini - The Movie, that was filmed from October to December in Madrid (Spain) and Sicily (Italy).
After the ending of Alex & Co., Leonardo and Asia Corvino took part in Divertiamoci a stare bene, a Disney and Sport senza frontiere campaign to promote a healthy lifestyle. That same year, he finished the school and wrote a book titled Un respiro lungo e via (Take A Deep Breath and Go).
In January 2018, he moved to Los Angeles (USA), where he started the University.

It was created by Marina Efron Versiglia and stars Leonardo Cecchi, Eleonora Gaggero, Beatrice Vendramin, Saul Nanni, and Federico Russo, as well as English actress Olivia-Mai Barrett in the special season episodes.
