He won Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards for his portrayal of Tshaka in the romantic comedy Tell Me Sweet Something. In 2019, he directed episodes of MTV Shuga Down South.
Thishiwe Ziqubu is a gender non-binary South African actor and filmmaker who has starred in Madiba, Book of Negroes and Hard to Get. They have also written and directed Emoyeni, a fantasy mini-series on Netflix, and won several awards for their work.
