Rong Xiang received the B.S. degree in chemical physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2003, the M.E. degree in chemical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 2009.
