Denzel Wells was a contestant on cycle 21 of ANTM in 2014. He was the seventh model eliminated and placed ninth overall.
Denzel was best known for his toxic masculinity. In auditions, he was upset that Will was walking in high heels, which Denzel thought wasn't a manly thing to do. He was the very last model called to the final cast.
In episode four, he got irritated by Yu Tsai at the optical illusions photoshoot, and stormed off the set. At makeovers, he received a beard weave, which is considered one of the worst makeovers in ANTM history by the fanbase. Later, he accused Matthew of being bi or gay after an off-screen kiss with Will.
In episode seven, Will overheard him and Keith talking bad about him. Denzel said that he would be embarrassed to lose to somebody like Will because of his femininity. Will wore his heels at the judging, to which Tyra questioned why. He called Denzel out, and the judges reprimanded him. Tyra compared his homophobia to racism within the fashion industry.
In episode nine, he was the only person to not book any shows at the go-see challenge, mostly due to his overly muscular body. He was eliminated right before the Comeback Series in episode nine, losing to Lenox by a 0.1 point difference.

Denzel married Andie Danielle in December of 2017. The couple now have two daughters named Avery and Rylee.
