Thomas Jessop (born 19 January 1985) is a British actor. He is the first actor with Down syndrome to star in a primetime BBC drama, [1] the first professional actor with Down syndrome to tour theatres as Hamlet, and the first to become a full voting member of BAFTA.
Tommy Jessop is the first actor with Down syndrome to play the lead in a primetime TV drama and Hamlet in professional theatres. He has also appeared in films, documentaries, radio and stage, and is an ambassador for Mencap and the National Down Syndrome Policy Group.
