Vincent van Hinte is an actor, model, and assistant director who appeared as the male Ayt in the 2013 sequel Star Trek Into Darkness directed by J.J. Abrams. Jim Kagle designed the original sculpture while Mark Garbarino supervised the pre-paint work and application.
Van Hinte attended the Arizona State University and the NHTV internationaal hoger onderwijs Breda in the Netherlands. In 2008, he worked as production assistant for the company Eyeworks, in 2009 as medical producer for VAS communications, and in 2010 as camera operator for AZ Virtual Studios.
Prior to his appearance in Star Trek Into Darkness, van Hinte was featured in an episode of CollegeHumor Originals (2011), the horror video game 77 Shadow St. (2012), the short science fiction film Kninth Floor (2012), the pilot episode of Apex (2013), and the short drama The Prince of Old Havana (2013). Further projects include the television comedy Hollywood Positive + (2014), the comedy Bachelor Night (2014, with Jeff Rector), the short drama Old Havana and the Great Pimp of San Isidro (2014), and an episode of Horror Show (2014).
In 2011, van Hinte worked as production manager, editor and cinematographer on the short documentary Ard Eevin. As assistant director, his credits include the short drama Spices for Grandman (2013), the science fiction thriller Age of Tomorrow (2014, with Robert Picardo), the comedy It's Not a Date (2014), the comedy Love Addict (2015), the drama Fallen Stars (2015), the television science fiction comedy Cozmo's (2015, written by Ethan H. Calk, starring Robert Picardo, Ethan Phillips, Jeffrey Combs, Aron Eisenberg, Douglas Tait, Tad Atkinson, and Darth Schuhe, and associate produced by Ryan T. Husk), the action film Right to Fight Society (2016), and the comedy The Shickles (2017, with D.C. Douglas).
