Charles Frederick " Karch " Kiraly ( / ˈkɑːrtʃ kɪˈraɪ /; born November 3, 1960) is an American volleyball player, coach, and broadcast announcer. He was a central part of the U.S National Team that won gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games.
Karch Kiraly is the only athlete to win Olympic medals in both indoor and beach volleyball and is known as the winningest player in volleyball history. He played in three Olympics, won three gold medals, and coached the 2012 U.S. women's national team.
