Yang Chuan-kwang, or C.K. Yang (Amis: Maysang Kalimud, Chinese: 楊傳廣; pinyin: Yáng Chuánguǎng; July 10, 1933 – January 27, 2007), was an Olympic decathlete from Taiwan. Yang attended college at UCLA , where he trained and competed with teammate and Olympian Rafer Johnson and was coached by Elvin C. Drake .
Chuan-Kwang YANG is a former decathlete and pole vaulter who competed for Taiwan at three Olympic Games. He won a silver medal in the decathlon at the 1960 Rome Games and set world records in both events.

Jan 27, 2007 · C. K. Yang is considered the greatest all-around athlete produced by the island nation of Taiwan. He first came to notice in 1954 when he won the decathlon at the 1954 Asian Games. He competed at the 1956 Olympics, placing eighth in the decathlon.

Jan 29, 2007 · Taiwan's first Olympic medallist, Yang Chuan-kwang (楊傳廣), died of a stroke in California on Saturday at the age of 74. Yang won the silver medal in the decathlon at the 1960 Rome Olympics and was a legend in Taiwanese sports.
