Benjamin Raich (born 28 February 1978 in Arzl im Pitztal, Tyrol) is an Austrian former World Cup champion alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist.
Apr 29, 2024 · Benjamin Raich (born February 28, 1978, Arzl im Pitztal, Austria) is an Austrian Alpine skier who won gold medals in both the slalom and the giant slalom (GS) at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. Raich earned international acclaim at age 18 when he won the slalom at the 1996 junior world championships.
Ich lebe mit meiner Frau Marlies und meinen beiden Söhnen, Josef und Jakob, in Arzl im Pitztal. Für den ORF bin ich als Experte bei einigen Rennen im Schiweltcup vor Ort, bin nach wie vor für einige meiner langjährigen Sponsoren tätig und engagiere mich in verschiedensten Bereichen.
Benjamin „Benni“ Raich (* 28. Februar 1978 in Leins, Gemeindegebiet Arzl im Pitztal) ist ein ehemaliger österreichischer Skirennläufer. Er wurde zweimal Olympiasieger, dreimal Weltmeister und entschied in der Saison 2005/06 den Gesamtweltcup für sich.
