It was founded in 1886 by Elizabeth Wordsworth as a women's college, and accepted its first male students in its centenary year in 1986.

St Hugh’s is one of the colleges in which our Oxford Summer School is hosted. Students will be accommodated in spacious and modern single rooms, which are standard undergraduate bedrooms. Many bathrooms are en suite but some are shared between a small number of students.
