Farook College is the biggest residential Post Graduate Institution under the University of Calicut. The college has been re-accredited at 'A' Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, with a CGPA 3.34 on a four point scale valid from March 2009.
Farook College was founded in 1948 by Maulavi Abussabah Ahmed Ali, a social reformer and scholar, to empower the Kerala Muslims through education. The college offers 22 undergraduate and 16 post-graduate programmes, and has been accredited with A+ grade by NAAC and UGC.
