Czapek & Cie. is a Swiss watch brand named after the Polish watchmaker François Czapek. [1] François Czapek. Franciszek Czapek was a Czech-born, Polish master watchmaker who arrived in Geneva, Switzerland in May 1832. Soon after, he gallicised his name, thus becoming François Czapek.
Czapek & Cie is officially launched in Geneva at the presence of journalists, friends and watch lovers. Fellow enthusiasts are given the opportunity to take part in Czapek’s renaissance by investing in the company by way of an equity crowdfunding campaign. It becomes the first Haute Horlogerie brand revived by watch aficionados worldwide.

François Czapek was a Czech-born Polish watchmaker who fled to Geneva in 1832 after fighting in the Polish uprising. He immediately started his own atelier and in 1839 entered into a partnership with Antoine Norbert de Patek, introducing him to the world of watchmaking.
