Nov 20, 2022 · OD is a 1 1/8 inch steerer at the top and OD2 is 1 1/4. If you buy a giant od2 stem it will likely come with a shim to put it on an od steerer. Just remove the top cap and spacers and measure the actual steerer tube. I can’t figure out what the actual difference is and what I need to be aware of.

The measurement that I find to be the most critical, which is the upper seat ID and the smallest diameter in the head tube, is larger than 1 1/4", tells me that an OverDrive 2 fork will at least go through.

Jun 7, 2017 · If you own a Giant, there aren't too many stem options that fit the OD2 steerer tube. My old stem was a Ritchey C260 but the odd wraparound handlebar end of the stem doesn't work with aero handlebars. I was finally able to get ahold of the 2021 Giant Contact SLR stem. It looks really good, in my opinion.
Nov 5, 2014 · I have a 2014 Giant Trance with an Overdrive 2 tapered steerer (1-1/2 - 1-1/4). As we know, the standard tapered steerer is 1-1/2 - 1-1/8 inch. I want to replace my OEM fork (Fox 32 Float Evolution CTD 140) with a more advanced Fox or RS.

Dec 9, 2011 · Since I'll be soon putting my 2012 TCR Advanced SL Rabo frame together, does anyone know of companies other than Giant who make a stem to fit their new OD2 size (1-1/4"). Giant makes a carbon stem, but it has the aesthetics of a brick.
