Sean Sexton Cunningham (born December 31, 1941) is an American film director, producer, and writer. He is best known for directing and producing several horror films, beginning in the early 1970s. Raised in Connecticut, Cunningham graduated from Franklin & Marshall College before earning an MFA from Stanford University.
Sean S. Cunningham is a filmmaker who directed Friday the 13th (1980) and The Last House on the Left (1972), among other horror and comedy films. He also produced many sequels and spin-offs of his works, as well as other projects such as House (1985) and Jason X (2001).
