Philip Andrew Brimmer (born March 15, 1959) is the Chief United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He is the son of Clarence Addison Brimmer Jr., a former federal judge in Wyoming.

Honorable Philip A. Brimmer attended Harvard College (A.B. 1981) and Yale Law School (J.D. 1985). After law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge Zita L. Weinshienk from 1985 to 1987. Upon completion of his clerkship, Judge Brimmer joined the Denver office of Kirkland & Ellis, where he was a litigator.

Born in Rawlins, Wyoming, Brimmer graduated with a bachelor's degree from Harvard College in 1981, and earned a J.D.degree from Yale Law School in 1985.

Brimmer was nominated to the United States District Court for the District of Colorado by President George W. Bush on July 10, 2008, to a seat vacated by Lewis Babcock. Brimmer was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 26, 2008, and received commission on October 14, 2008. Brimmer became chief judge of the court, succeeding Marcia Krieger, in 2019.
