The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a zoo in the San Pasqual Valley area of San Diego, California, near Escondido. The park houses more than 3,000 animals representing over 300 species. It also includes a botanical garden with more than one million plants representing over 3,700 species.
Jun 16, 2024 · The Safari Park is the San Diego Zoo’s sister park to the northeast in Escondido. Distance between the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is 35 miles. Please allow 45 minutes to 1 hour travel time.
Maximum 3 children ages 15 and younger per adult. A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Safari Park entry; parking is not included. Wildlife Safaris are an all-weather event, however during periods of inclement weather please call 619-718-3000 to check the status of your tour.
