Le Quartanier is a francophone publishing house founded in Montreal, Quebec in September 2002 by Éric de Larochellière and Christian Larouche. Le Quarantier distributes its books worldwide but principally in Canada, France and francophone countries.

These are presses intent on breaking free from the hegemony of French publishers. Traditionally, rights for literature from Québec were sold to French publishing houses for European distribution.
Le Quartanier is one of the most exciting publishers in Quebec today, home to a growing roster of often young writers. The books cut a wide swathe, yet there is coherence: every title shares something, but it’s very hard to put a finger on what that something is.
