Crusading western journalists go to cover a factory strike and end up wrapped up in a capitalist conspiracy to unleash an airborne plague on Russia. They along with the intrepid miss mend deal with doppelgangers, child poisonings, a lot of attempted drownings and chases to stop the eradication of the communist state.
