    • Explore new hobbies and activities. Broaden your horizons by trying new things. This can add excitement to your life and help you discover new passions.
    • Prioritize a healthy diet. What you eat affects your mood. Focus on balanced, nutritious meals that fuel your body and mind. A simple first step could be including more fruits and vegetables in your diet and staying hydrated with water or herbal tea.
    • Practice self-care. Taking care of yourself is crucial. This means getting enough rest, managing stress, and doing things that make you feel good. Set aside a few minutes each day for relaxation or a favorite activity.
    • Stay active. Exercise releases brain chemicals thought to boost your mood. Start with short, enjoyable physical activities that fit into your daily routine, like a daily walk or some stretching exercises.
    • Let go of the past. Your past is not your future unless you live there – and living there prevents you from learning how to find joy in the present. If you’ve lost a loved one, ended a relationship or have been struggling financially, these are certainly valid reasons to feel down.
    • Practice gratitude. One way to move on from the past and feel joy in your life is to practice gratitude. By choosing to be optimistic and focus on the good things in your life, you can actually train your brain to feel joy more often.
    • Use the law of attraction. The more positivity you feel, the more you will attract positivity in your life – that’s the law of attraction. This principle has been around for thousands of years and is used by the world’s most successful people to design the lives of their dreams.
    • Surround yourself with positive people. Surrounding yourself with good people goes hand in hand with the law of attraction and is vital to every area of your life.
    • Stay in the Present. When we are overwhelmed or feeling sadness and loss, the secret to finding joy is in taking life one day at a time. Difficult periods can seem more manageable when we don’t overwhelm ourselves by worry about the future and all of the unknowns.
    • Indulge Your Five Senses. Everything you taste, smell, touch, hear, and see can affect your mood. When we spot a butterfly or take the perfect bite of food, our senses are heightened and we instantly feel excitement and joy.
    • Change up Your routine. Do you feel stuck in a rut like a hamster running on a wheel? When this happens, it’s easy to see the smallest of troubles as an epic problem.
    • Become the Main Character. One of the biggest fears people have in life is loneliness or worrying that they might be lacking, which can hinder joy. By filling that gap with self-love, you become the main character of your life story.
