"Little Moon of Alban" was an American television play broadcast by NBC on March 24, 1958, as part of the television series, Hallmark Hall of Fame. It was written by James Costigan, directed by George Schaefer, and starred Julie Harris and Christopher Plummer.
Brief Synopsis. The story, set in Ireland in l9l9, relates the experiences of a desperate young woman who enters a convent and becomes a nurse to wounded soldiers. She develops a very close relationship with one cynical patient, a gravely wounded British officer.
Irish Brigid Mary blames the English for the deaths of her fiance, brother, and father. Becoming a nurse following WW I she finds herself caring for what she considers the enemy. Then she begins to fall in love with soldier Kenneth Boyd.
