Sep 3, 2010 · 18 year-old Simon, a boy with Asperger’s syndrome, has his life turned upside-down when his brother Sam is dumped by his girlfriend. Sam is the one who’s always taken care of Simon. But with Sam depressed over the breakup with his girlfriend everything changes and Simon’s world turns into chaos.
Simple Simon sets itself up like a comfortable, reassuring romantic comedy, then breaks the rules. As Simon is confounded by developing events, so is the viewer. Can we really find our way back to a safe place by the end?
