A couple attempts to flee unnatural village streets swirling with carnival mania, undeath, soul worms, mad science, masked killings, and unhelpful police. The whole film unfolds with the surreal delirium of a fever dream, propelled by a giallo-esque score. Not a scary film as much as it is cheerily unnerving and overwhelmingly off.
